Job description

Ready to Make an Impact? We’re looking for a Creative Lead, Copy & Operations who brings together strong creative thinking, exceptional copywriting and the ability to keep a busy in-house creative team moving. In this role, you’ll lead creative content strategy and execution: Spearhead the creation of compelling, high-quality copy for a diverse range of platforms including digital (websites, email campaigns, social media), print, advertising, and more. Ensure all messaging aligns with brand voice and business goals while elevating the overall creative direction. You’ll be equally comfortable turning briefs into actionable work, manage priorities and resourcing, and establish processes that make it easier for creative teams and cross-functional partners to work efficiently together.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate on high-stakes, complex projects: Work closely with creative, marketing, and design teams to conceptualize and develop innovative messaging strategies for integrated marketing campaigns. Ensure all copy integrates seamlessly to create cohesive, impactful narratives.
  • Provide expert-level guidance: Review, edit, and oversee all copy, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with brand guidelines. Mentor and provide feedback to copywriters, raising the bar for creative quality across the team.
  • Strategic leadership and creative direction: Develop and execute messaging strategies that are data-informed and audience-focused, driving engagement and supporting business objectives. Lead brainstorming sessions and collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate ideas into powerful, results-driven creative content.
  • Subject matter expertise: Act as a trusted advisor on content strategy, providing insights on audience behavior, market trends, and best practices. Conduct research to understand various market segments, tailoring messaging to resonate with different audiences and maximize impact.
  • Drive consistency and brand voice: Ensure that the brand’s voice is maintained and enhanced across all channels, establishing consistency in tone, messaging, and style. You will be the key guardian of the brand’s identity, setting the tone for all written content.
  • Stakeholder engagement: Work with key stakeholders, including marketing directors, product managers, and external partners, to gather requirements, present copy concepts, and incorporate feedback into final deliverables. Balance creative freedom with business objectives, ensuring copy aligns with strategic goals.
  • Oversee the intake and day-to-day management of creative briefs from kickoff through delivery. Assess project requirements, establish timelines, assign work to the appropriate creative teams and proactively manage priorities, dependencies and feedback to keep projects moving.
  • Act as a key owner of creative workflow and asset-management platforms, including Asana and Box, ensuring projects, briefs, timelines and final assets are organized, accurate and accessible. Establish and maintain best practices for how the team uses these tools.
  • Identify opportunities to improve how work moves through the in-house creative team. Develop and implement processes, templates and ways of working that improve visibility, collaboration and efficiency while reducing unnecessary steps and bottlenecks.
What you have to offer:
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, Communications, or a related field, including experience managing creative projects and workflows.
  • 5+ years of experience in creative concepts and strategies or a related role, with a proven track record of creating successful marketing content. Experience in a senior or leadership capacity is a plus.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of high-quality copy across various channels, including digital, print, and social media.
  • Demonstrated experience managing creative projects within an in-house creative team, agency or fast-paced marketing environment, with the ability to manage multiple briefs, stakeholders and timelines simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to balance creative excellence with deadlines, resources and changing business priorities.
