Job description

At Kal Tire, we're adding a Field Service Technician to our OTR team in North Langley, BC. We provide service to our customers by performing tire removal, installation, and repairs both on and off-site on large OTR equipment, often requiring crane truck use and knowledge.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
  • Perform tire removal, installation, and repair services safely for OTR & commercial tires. This includes removing wheel assemblies, dismounting tires, inflating and installing repaired or new tires, and reinstalling wheel assemblies according to standard operating procedures.
  • Conduct diagnostics, evaluate the reparability of damage, and choose and complete proper repair methods.
  • Keen willingness to learn in a fast-paced, changing environment.

Qualifications and Success:
  • You have a strong mechanical ability and the ability to solve problems on the spot.
  • Valid driver’s license, Class 3 preferred.
  • Ability to excel in a physical environment and easily lift 50+ lbs.
  • Safety mindset, ready to wear all required PPE and follow all safety procedures.
  • Automotive or tire experience is an asset.
