Job summary

isgSearch is seeking an Accounting Consultant for a hands-on6-month rolling contract to support a large Canadian facilities and business services organization with operations across multiple locations. Following a Microsoft Dynamics 365 implementation, the role focuses on account cleanup, reconciliations and general ledger activities.

This role requires a CPA designation and strong Excel skills, with the ability to work independently and collaborate with the accounting team to bring accounts up

Qualifications

• CPA designation required.
• Strong accounting and general ledger experience.
• Hands on experience with account and bank reconciliations.
• Experience with general ledger cleanup and resolving accounting discrepancies.
• Strong Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience.
• Excellent Excel skills, including formulas, lookups and working with large data sets.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of accounting cleanup activities.
• Experience supporting a system implementation or post implementation cleanup is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Perform account reconciliations and investigate outstanding balances and discrepancies.
• Complete bank reconciliations and resolve outstanding items.
• Review and clean up general ledger accounts following the Microsoft Dynamics 365 implementation.
• Analyze accounting data to identify errors, inconsistencies and items requiring correction.
• Support month end close activities and ensure accounts are properly reconciled.
• Review transactions and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
