Cover Supervisor

Location: Halifax and surrounding areas
Start date: September 2025
Contract: Full-time or Part-time
Salary: £90 - £120 a day

We are supporting a secondary school in Halifax that is seeking a confident and organized individual to cover short-term teacher absences and ensure student learning continues smoothly. The role requires no planning, marking, or assessing—just a strong classroom presence, clear instructions, and the ability to engage students and manage challenging behaviour effectively.

Duties of the Role:

  • Deliver planned lessons across various secondary subjects
  • Keep students focused and engaged
  • Maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment
  • Adapt to different classrooms and groups throughout the week
  • Support inclusion of SEND, EAL, NEET pupils and promote equality and participation
