Walden Security is currently recruiting experienced Court Security Officers. CSOs will provide armed security to courthouses under the USMS contract.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Perform entrance control: Enforce the District's entry and identification system including operating security screening equipment to detect weapons, contraband, and prohibited items.
  2. Perform roving patrol: Patrol court facilities and grounds in accordance with post orders.
  3. Perform stationary post assignments: Monitor security equipment, courtrooms, judge chambers, and jury rooms.
  4. Perform escort duties: Provide armed escort services for judges, court personnel, jurors, and others as directed.
  5. Perform garage parking and pedestrian control: Direct traffic and control lights on court property as per procedures.
  6. Enforce law and order: Detain persons attempting unauthorized access or acts threatening safety and security.
  7. Prepare reports and records: Document incidents, accidents, threats, or unlawful acts within the court area.
  8. Court attendance: Secure unattended courtrooms, inspect courtrooms prior to proceedings, test security devices.
  9. Preserve order: Provide security presence, enforce federal laws and judicial orders, enforce local rules, and protect court proceedings.
Requirements
  1. Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED; at least three years of verifiable law enforcement or military security experience within the last seven years, including general arrest authority.
  2. Language Skills: Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English, and interpret rules and regulations.
  3. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, DOJ clearance, and certification from a law enforcement training academy.
  4. Other Qualifications: Minimum age 21, pass drug screening and criminal background check.
  5. Physical Demands: Meet USMS medical standards; accommodations available for disabilities.
