Job description

At the Western Communities Provincial Court our team of approximately 9 staff includes a Manager a Supervisor a Justice of the Peace and 6 Court / Registry Clerks. This established team collaborates closely with judiciary crown counsel various partners defense counsel probation officers and correctional staff to provide essential access to justice and administrative support. The Role

This role provides important support to the court by preparing and managing documents recording proceedings and assisting in court before during and after hearings. Youll work closely with judges lawyers justice partners and the public to help ensure court processes run smoothly and accurately. Qualifications :

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Secondary school graduation or equivalent (GED).
  • 2 years of experience working in an office environment; OR
  • A combination of 2 years of customer service clerical duties office experience and education.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in keyboarding data entry word processing standard computer applications and software programs (e.g. Windows MS Word Excel Outlook).

Preference may be given to applicants with :

  • Experience in Court Programs and Applications (JUSTIN CEIS ARC CTAS CCD).
  • Experience as a court clerk and / or registry clerk.
  • 1 year of previous work experience in a court or legal environment.
