Job description

The Department of Political Science at McGill University is inviting applications for a course lecturer position to teach in Winter 2026.

The course is POLI 345-001 International Organizations (3 Credits), which covers the politics and processes of global governance in the 21st century, with a special emphasis on the United Nations system.

Teaching Qualification Requirements:

  • A completed PhD degree or enrolled in a doctoral program in Political Science or a discipline related to the course;
  • Provide evidence of effective teaching ability as a result of having successfully taught a similar course;
  • The candidate's area of specialization must be as close as possible to that of the course being offered;
  • Experience as a teaching assistant for a course is an asset.

The course will be held on Wednesday and Friday from 04:05 pm-05:25 pm, January 5, 2026 – April 14, 2026, at location ENGMC 304.

The salary for the course is $11,479.
