The Department of Political Science is inviting applications for a course lecturer position to teach in Winter 2026. Please include your Cover Letter and Curriculum Vitae and if applicable a copy of your Study/Work Permit. A brief course outline is optional.

POLI 342-001 Canadian Foreign Policy (3 Credits - CAP 80)

The development and articulation of Canadian foreign policy. Theoretical approaches. The environmental setting. Historical perspectives. Trans-Atlantic linkages. The American connection. The Common Market. The United Nations. Military security. Developing relations with Asia, Africa, Latin America. Canada in global society.

Teaching Qualification Requirements:

  • A completed PhD degree or enrolled in a doctoral program in Political Science or a discipline related to the course;
  • Provide evidence of effective teaching ability as a result of having successfully taught a similar course;
  • The candidate's area of specialization must be as close as possible to that of the course being offered;
  • Experience as a teaching assistant for a course is an asset.

Tuesday and Thursday 01:05 pm-02:25 pm, January 5, 2026 – April 14, 2026. Location: ENGMD 279.

Salary: $11,479 per course.
