Introduction to the history of colonial North America and the United States up to the Civil War, in their Atlantic context.

January 5 to April 14, 2026: Monday and Wednesday, 4:05 pm – 5:25 pm

Teaching Qualification Requirements:

Education: PHD or ABD in US history required; expertise in colonial or pre-Civil War era preferred.

Experience: Teaching experience in related coursework at university level preferred; experience teaching large survey course preferred.

This course will be taught by one instructor in-person.
