Job description

Job Description:

Teach Understanding Planet Earth, EPSC 201 (3 credits), a course that covers Earth's origin, its place in the solar system, its internal structure, rocks and minerals, the formation of metal and fossil fuel deposits, and the extinction of dinosaurs.

Responsibilities include teaching, course management, creating exam materials, some grading, and managing teaching assistants (TAs). Class lectures are 3 hours a week for 13 weeks per term.

Teaching Qualification Requirements:

  • PhD in Earth Sciences or a similar field
  • Prior experience teaching introductory Earth science courses at the university level

Requirements to Work at McGill University:

  • Willing to work in the province of Quebec
  • English communication both verbally and in writing
