Job summary

McGill University’s Department of Integrated Studies in Education (DISE) invites applications for a Winter 2027 course: Kindergarten Classroom Pedagogy (EDEE 253-001). The course develops an orientation to the Kindergarten curriculum, integrating language arts, math, science, and expressive arts for preschool children, with emphasis on age-appropriate development.

English-language instruction is central; course will be taught on campus in Education Building (EDUC 113) with Monday sessions.

Qualifications

• MA in preschool/Kindergarten education or closely related field.
• Teaching degree or equivalent in Kindergarten education is required.
• PhD or equivalent is considered an asset.
• Experience teaching undergraduate or graduate courses is preferred.
• Commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion in pedagogy.

Responsibilities

• Teach Kindergarten Classroom Pedagogy course as described in the posting.
• Coordinate with DISE instructors and plan sessions at least two weeks before start date.
• Utilize MyCourses and Zoom to facilitate teaching and learning.
• Engage with diverse student cohorts and apply inclusive pedagogy.
