Salary Range: $6,818.58 CAD + vacation pay per three-credit course

The Faculty of Arts and Science at Nipissing University invites applications from qualified instructors to teach Social Welfare courses during the Fall 2025 and Winter 2026 semesters.

Qualifications:

  • A PhD or ABD in Social Work, Sociology, Political Science, or related discipline.
  • Relevant post-secondary teaching experience.

Duties:

  • Responsible for all instruction and evaluation for the course segments assigned.
  • Available to meet with students outside of official classroom hours.
  • Complete mandatory training, review, and follow Nipissing University's policies and procedures.

Courses Available:

We are hiring for multiple courses, including:

Fall 2025 (September 2, 2025 – December 1, 2025)

  • SWLF-3116 – Health Care and Health Policy (North Bay)
  • SWLF-3166 – Housing and Homelessness (North Bay)

Winter 2026 (January 5, 2026 – April 7, 2026)

  • SWLF-3006 – Social and Economic Justice (North Bay/Distance)
