Job description

Sheridan is looking for outstanding individuals to join our course development team in the School of Applied Health's newest program, the Advanced Diploma in Massage Therapy. We are seeking motivated professionals to share their expertise in the industry to build and enhance the program. The School of Applied Health invites applications for developing core massage therapy courses such as Anatomy, Human Physiology 1 & 2, Massage Therapy 1 & 2, Therapeutic Relationships, Professional Foundations of Massage Therapy, Nutrition, Hydrotherapy, and Anatomy & Palpation.

This position offers a dynamic opportunity to work with a team dedicated to the advancement of the School of Applied Health. Successful candidates will work independently to create and assemble course content that provides the best possible educational experience for students.

What You'll Be Doing
  1. Working closely with the Associate Dean and Curriculum Advisor, and collaborating with other development team members:
  2. Developing course outlines aligned with Program Learning Outcomes, applicable regulations, and standards of practice in Ontario;
  3. Developing Course Learning Outcomes related to the course description and aligned with Program Learning Outcomes;
  4. Defining course critical performance statements;
  5. Developing evaluation matrices and specific evaluation tools with associated rubrics;
  6. Designing course content within each module and evaluation style;
  7. Providing revision support based on committee feedback;
  8. Attending virtual meetings with the Curriculum Development Team;
  9. Performing other related duties as assigned.

  • Network of contacts in the healthcare industry is an asset;
  • Strong problem-solving and strategic thinking skills.
