Title of Course

PSYC 4P07, Psychology Students' Transition to Work

Compensation

Teaching Assistant, Course Coordinator, and Lab Demonstrator positions are paid according to the qualifications that the employee holds.

  • Employees without a 4-year honours degree or a 3-year pass degree will be paid the undergraduate rate - $22.07 per hour (Rate effective September 1, 2024).
  • Employees with a 4-year honours degree or a 3-year pass degree will be paid the graduate rate - $34.73 per hour (Rate effective September 1, 2024).
Duties

The nominal hours assigned to a Course Coordinator may vary. Total stipend depends on course enrollment, calculated as 0.3 hours x number of registered students. Duties include overseeing seminar/tutorial/lab sections, coordinating with TAs and graders, maintaining records, handling student accommodations, resolving course issues, and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Must have completed or be enrolled in relevant psychology courses within the past five years, or have a minimum 3rd Year standing with an average of at least 80, and have taken this course within the past five years with a grade of at least 80. Experience as a TA or Course Coordinator will be considered as equivalent.
  • Must demonstrate thorough understanding of the course, be organized, skilled in record-keeping, experienced with spreadsheets, Sakai, and able to conduct seminars remotely.

Applicants must identify the course for consideration of equivalency and provide supporting documentation. For courses taken elsewhere, a transcript and course description are required.
