Title of Course

PSYC 2P15, Psychopathology

Compensation

Teaching Assistant, Course Coordinator, and Lab Demonstrator positions are paid based on qualifications:

  • Employees without a 4-year honours or 3-year pass degree will be paid the undergraduate rate - $22.07/hr (effective September 1, 2024).
  • Employees with a 4-year honours or 3-year pass degree will be paid the graduate rate - $34.73/hr (effective September 1, 2024).
Duties

The Course Coordinator's hours vary; total stipend depends on enrollment, calculated as 0.3 hours per registered student. Responsibilities include overseeing seminars/labs, coordinating with TAs, maintaining records, handling student accommodations, addressing course issues, communicating with students and staff, arranging makeup tests, and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Must have completed or be enrolled in relevant psychology courses within the past five years, or have a 3rd-year standing with at least 80% average and recent course completion. Prior experience as a TA or Course Coordinator is considered equivalent.
  • Ability to explain course topics clearly.
  • Meticulous, organized, and skilled with spreadsheets, databases, and Sakai.
  • Willing to present remotely and communicate effectively via email and video conferencing.
