Course Content Developer

Position Overview

Calian is hiring a Course Content Developer to support the Logistics Officer Course Air (LOCA), until May 5th 2025, on a remote basis.

Responsibilities

1. Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
2. Providing instruction as indicated in the TA in the knowledge and/or skills needed to perform the duties of a CF member effectively.
3. Using word processing, spreadsheet, and database software (MS Office Suite).
4. Preparing lesson plans.
5. Assisting other instructors in training activities requiring more than one instructor.
6. Counselling students on their progress.
7. Maintaining and updating student files.
8. Performing student assessments.
9. Assisting DND by making recommendations and changes to the existing curriculum.
10. Providing safety support by administering immediate first aid to students and unit personnel in the event of an emergency.
11. Identifying training equipment shortfalls.
12. Monitoring training activities and providing feedback for improvement of instructional techniques.
13. Suggesting training improvements through the chain of command.
14. Developing exercises in support of training (where required).
15. Coordinating administrative details for courses (where required).
16. Producing After Course Review.

Qualifications

1. Military experience required.
2. Minimum two (2) years of experience instructing Logistic courses.
3. Minimum five (5) years experience working in the content area related to the task from the date of draft TAF issuance.
4. Hold a valid Standard First Aid certification.
5. Hold a valid provincial license. Must be able to qualify for a DND 404 driver’s license.
6. Be able to obtain a Government Security Clearance at the Reliability level.
