Job Duties
Minimum Education
High school diploma or GED.
Minimum Experience
Six (6) months courier experience preferred. Must demonstrate knowledge of the area.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs with appropriate equipment and/or assistance. Good human relations and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of the station's service area preferred. Demonstrated skills in adaptability, dependability, and courier methods.
Job Conditions
Neat appearance required due to customer contact. Must meet and maintain qualifications outlined in federal motor carrier safety regulations. Requires medical exam per FMCSA or FAA regulations. Specific requirements for vehicle operation are detailed in policy 4-48. Must obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle type with a good driving record. This is a safety-sensitive position; ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required.
