Job description

Job Position: Courier

This is an interview position.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide courteous and efficient pick-up and delivery of packages on an assigned route.
  • Check all shipments for conformance to Federal Express Canada features of service.
  • Provide related customer service functions.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
  • Ability to lift 70 lbs and maneuver packages weighing up to 150 lbs with appropriate equipment.
  • Preferred: One year of customer-oriented business experience.
  • Must pass mandatory pre-placement driver assessment training.
  • Knowledge of Federal Express Canada operations and Canadian Customs regulations is an asset.
  • Good interpersonal, communication, time management, organizational, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to multitask, handle stress, and work in a high-pressure environment.
  • Flexibility to work different schedules and holidays as needed.

Schedule and Location:

Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM. Must reside in or near Nipigon, ON.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Full valid Class G driver’s license (G2 not acceptable).

Additional Details:

  • Position: Full-Time Courier in Thunder Bay (YQTA).

Note: This job description is general and not exhaustive. All employees are expected to perform all duties as assigned and meet training and operational requirements. Bilingualism (French and English) is required for residents of Quebec. Candidates will be assessed based on driving record, interview performance, and driver assessments.
