Job Title: Medical Courier

Dynacare is currently looking to hire a Medical Courier to join our Logistics team in Sarnia, Ontario. This is a Casual (On-Call) opportunity, working in various shifts and days as required.

Route: Varies

Time: Varying start times

Employment Type: Casual

Area: Sarnia & London

This route will start and end at the Sarnia Dynacare Hub. Dynacare vehicle will be parked onsite. The courier will be responsible for arriving at the Sarnia Dynacare site at the start of the shift and parking the vehicle in the designated spot at the end of the shift.

Job Description:

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Courier is responsible for the pick-up and delivery of medical samples, reports, and supplies between the main laboratory, client offices, specimen collection centers, and hospitals.

Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for the pick-up and delivery of medical samples, reports, and supplies between hospitals, client offices, and specimen collection centers.
2. Traveling between Sarnia & Petrolia regions, possibly including the London region.
3. Delivering samples and reports at scheduled times.
4. Recording all shipments using the provided app/software.
5. Ensuring timely pick-up of samples and delivery of reports and mail.
6. Representing the company professionally, courteously, and informatively at all times.
7. Maintaining the safety and security of the vehicle at all times.

Must Have:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid G driver's license with a 3-year clean driving record
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a commercial driver or courier
• Positive attitude, focus on quality, and friendly demeanor
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Punctuality and reliability

Nice to Have:

• Transportation of Dangerous Goods certification
• Excellent communication skills
• Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules
• Criminal background check and clean driver’s abstract required for employment
