Dynacare is currently looking to hire a Medical Courier to join our Logistics team in Sarnia, Ontario. This is a Casual (On-Call) opportunity, working in various shifts and days when required:

Route: Varies

Time: Varying start times

Employment Type: Casual

Area: Sarnia & London

This route will start and end at the Sarnia Dynacare Hub. Dynacare vehicle will be parked onsite. The courier will be responsible for arriving at the Sarnia Dynacare site at the start of the shift and parking the Dynacare vehicle in the designated spot at the end of the shift.

Job Description:

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Courier is responsible for the pick-up and delivery of medical samples, reports, and supplies between the main laboratory, client offices, specimen collection centers, and hospitals.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the pick-up and delivery of medical samples, reports, and supplies between the main laboratories in hospitals, client offices, and specimen collection centers.
• Traveling between Sarnia & Petrolia Region; possibly including the London Region.
• Responsible for traveling between sites at scheduled times provided.
• Ensuring all shipments are recorded using the applicable app/software provided.
• Ensuring all samples are picked up as scheduled for clients.
• Ensuring medical reports and other mail are delivered to all locations on the assigned route.
• Acting as the company's representative, maintaining courteous, informative, and professional conduct at all times.
• Responsible for the safety and security of the vehicle at all times.

Must have:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid G driver’s license with a clean 3-year driving abstract – vehicle operation
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a commercial driver/courier role
• A positive attitude and a focus on quality
• Ability to work independently and in teams
• Punctuality and reliability

Nice to have:

• Transportation of Dangerous Goods certificate
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to adapt to changing schedules if required
• Criminal background verification and a clear driver’s abstract are required as conditions of employment.
