Counter Sales Representative – Entry Level

Our client, a leading distributor of plumbing, HVAC, waterworks, and industrial products, is looking for a Counter Sales Representative to provide sales support to customers, as well as the inside and outside sales teams.

Responsibilities:

• Assist customers who purchase material in store
• Research products for customers and provide recommendations on our assortment
• Drive sales growth through counter merchandising and product promotion
• Maintain product knowledge on all offerings
• Enter, pick, and pack sales orders
• Maintain and clean the counter area including merchandising displays
• Inform procurement when inventory is low
• Follow up on back orders and provide delivery estimates
• Process returns with proper paperwork
• Provide a professional atmosphere for walk-in customers
• Uphold company values and ethics
• Be an effective teammate
• Build relationships with customers and vendors

Qualifications:

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, retail, or food industry
• Outstanding customer service and communication skills
• Ability to learn order processing software
• Intermediate math skills with attention to detail
• Ability to operate material handling equipment
• Strong work ethic and integrity
• Ability to work independently and in a team

Remuneration:

Base salary of 42-45K plus bonus, RSP matching, benefits, and growth opportunities.
