Job Description
Advanced level sales position with expert knowledge of Repair business. The role requires expertise in store operations, advanced automotive systems, and parts knowledge. Responsibilities include providing advanced automotive problem resolution, identification, troubleshooting, and project assistance for customers. The role also involves sourcing parts from various channels such as special orders, FDO, and second sources. In-depth knowledge of store inventory and maintenance processes is essential. Fleet safety knowledge is preferred.
Primary Responsibilities
- Deliver best-in-class customer service and DIY issue resolution
- Provide a professional selling experience for all customers, including walk-ins, online orders, and phone inquiries
- Achieve personal and store sales goals and service objectives
- Manage services such as wiper installations
- Maintain high standards of customer service and store appearance
- Perform key holder duties including task assignment, safety, and opening/closing responsibilities
Secondary Responsibilities
- Assist with store inventory processes including POGs, truck put-away, shoot-outs, cycle counts, and back stock
- Back up professional services as needed
- Ensure store cleanliness, including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, and parking lot maintenance

Essential Job Skills
- Knowledge of automotive systems and diagnostic abilities (engine, suspension, brakes, electronics, exhaust)
- Effective communication in English; Spanish is a plus
- Ability to interpret safety rules, manuals, parts catalogs, and procedures
- Ability to follow written, oral, or diagrammatic instructions
- Successful completion of the Parts Knowledge Assessment
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong organizational skills
- Flexibility to work various shifts including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Prior Experience
- 3-5 years of automotive parts experience
- Proven sales ability with customer transaction fulfillment
Education
- High school diploma or GED
Certificates and Licenses
- ASE certification is preferred but not required
Physical Demands
The physical requirements include walking, standing, talking, hearing, manual dexterity, reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally. Vision abilities include close, distance, color, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
Work Environment
Primarily indoor work, with occasional outdoor tasks exposed to weather conditions, moving mechanical parts, heights, chemicals, electrical hazards, explosives, and vibration. Noise levels are usually moderate.
