Job summary

Gateway Casinos & Entertainment Limited is seeking a part-time Count Team Member in London, Ontario. The role involves accurately retrieving, sorting, counting, and reconciling daily monetary receipts and deposits at multiple casino properties.

The position requires cash handling experience, precision, and the ability to travel to other casinos on a regular basis. A secondary school diploma is required, with strong customer service and math skills preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Retrieve, sort, count, and reconcile daily monetary receipts and deposits.
• Collect cash/ticket cassettes from gaming machines and drop boxes.
• Assist in float preparation and loading/unloading ticket redemption machines.
• Count and reconcile monies from slot machines, tables, and vending as applicable.
• Prepare daily deposits for Slots, Lotteries, and Food & Beverage.
• Travel to other casinos regularly to perform counts.

The Position

A count team member will accurately retrieve, sort, count, and reconcile daily monetary receipts and deposits. The individual will travel regularly to other casinos to perform counts. To excel in this role, cash handling experience and precision are a must.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately retrieve, sort, count, and reconcile daily monetary receipts and deposits.
• Collects cash/ticket cassettes from electronic gaming machines and monies from table games drop boxes.
• Participates in the float preparation and loading/unloading of ticket redemption machines.
• Counts and reconciles monies collected from slot machines, tables and vending machines as applicable.
• Prepares daily deposits for Slots, Lotteries and Food and Beverage.
• Travels to other Casinos on a regular basis to perform counts.

What You Bring

• A secondary school diploma.
• One or more years of experience in customer service and handling cash (preferably large volumes).
• Proven high level of Customer Service.
• Strong mathematical aptitude, ability to work in a physically demanding area, ability to work within a confined space, have good hand-eye coordination, good manual dexterity to accurately handle cash, tickets, and be familiar with a high-volume, fast paced, multi-tasking environment.
• Excellent communication, organizational, teamwork and analytical skills.
• Ability to pull, lift, and carry objects up to 35lbs and push/pull a heavy cart.
