Counsellor or Social Worker (EAP Program)

Summary:

Reporting to the Regional Clinical Manager, you will be providing in-person counselling services for clients of TELUS health in our office in Thunder Bay.

Our Counsellors:

  1. Engage in solution-focused therapy, supporting a range of clients dealing with complex life challenges
  2. Support clients in taking an active role in the change process by working from a strength-based approach
  3. Provide excellent clinical services and embrace the TELUS Health culture of continuous learning
  4. Manage the administrative requirements as dictated by TELUS Health's clinical models
Core qualifications and skills we are looking for:

  1. Master’s Degree in Counselling, Psychology, Social Work
  2. Registration with Professional College or Association;
  3. Ability to set short term objectives and use a solution focused approach;
  4. Ability to clinically manage high-risk cases, including clients who are a threat to self or others;
  5. Excellent time-management skills with the ability to handle a large volume of clients;
  6. Previous counselling experienced working with professionals an asset
