Job description

$29.53 per hour to $32.97 per hour. Salary scale and wage increments are in accordance with the Collective Agreement.

The Costume Assistant produces costumes for the performing arts and maintain the College’s costume collection. Provides exceptional client-centered service on a consistent basis to all stakeholder groups.

  • Three years of related work experience in performing arts costume preparation;
  • An equivalent combination of post-secondary education and work experience may be considered.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate courteously and effectively in person, in writing, and over the telephone with staff, faculty, administrators and students.
  • Good working knowledge of English (verbal and written).
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a minimum of supervision, and to establish priorities and achieve deadlines.
This temporary full-time (35 hours per week) position is available starting August 25, 2025 until December 19, 2025. This position may be extended or concluded early due to operational requirements. Regular hours of work are Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm. Shift days and times may change depending on the Department’s need. Occasional evening and/or weekend work will be required. The position is located at the New Westminster campus.
