Job description

NSB Omega is searching for a Cost Estimator Specialist for our MAJOR Oil & Gas Client in Calgary, AB.

Assignment Description

Tasks & Responsibilities

In addition to Level 1 and 2 tasks, a Level 3 would:

• Engage with project team and functional team, including planner and scheduler and Client’s accounting staff
• Assist in development of C&SE deliverables (including Cost and Schedule Estimate, estimate basis documents, Benchmarking analysis, etc.)
• Have previous oil and gas cost estimating experience
• Possess strong technical mentoring skills
• Identify capital efficiency opportunities and risks on projects
• Minimal travel within Alberta may be required

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering within discipline or equivalent professional experience
• 15+ years of experience working on projects
• Skills to negotiate and broker successful solutions between internal coordination parties
• Advanced proficiency in Cost Estimating
• Strong influencing, consulting, mentoring, analytical, and computing skills
• Adaptability to changing priorities
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to organize, plan, control, coordinate, and effectively manage cross-functional activities
