Job Description

As a Cost Consultant, you will:

• Prepare Loan Monitoring reports
• Interface with clients and other consultants throughout project stages
• Research construction market conditions across Canada, analyzing official data
• Assist in developing new business opportunities with existing and new clients
• Manage knowledge by inputting key information into internal databases
• Ensure quality standards and participate in ISO audits
• Assist with feasibility studies and procurement reports
• Contribute to value engineering and life cycle costing
• Support the commission manager to ensure projects are managed efficiently and meet quality standards

As a Senior Cost Consultant, you will:

• Prepare Loan Monitoring reports
• Engage with clients and consultants at all project stages
• Conduct research on construction market conditions in Canada
• Develop new business opportunities
• Manage knowledge sharing and ensure quality compliance
• Oversee project completion within quality and time standards
• Ensure service delivery aligns with contractual conditions

Additional Key Responsibilities for Senior Level:

• Proactively identify business opportunities and support business development
• Participate in staff performance reviews and recruitment processes
• Ensure key information is documented and shared internally

Qualifications

Consultant:

• Minimum 3 years relevant experience
• University degree and experience with payment certifications
• Membership in professional organizations (e.g., RICS, CIQS)
• Professional certification (e.g., MRICS, PQS) is a plus

Senior Consultant:

• Minimum 7 years relevant experience
• University degree and extensive experience with payment certifications
• Membership and certifications as above

Salary Range

Cost Consultant: $70,000 - $90,000 per year

Senior Cost Consultant: $90,000 - $115,000 per year

Ranges depend on experience and qualifications. Turner & Townsend reserves the right to adjust pay accordingly.
