Job description

ECC is seeking candidates for a Cost Analyst II position in Toronto, CA. The Cost Analyst III position typically works from regional and/or site offices, assisting in the management of day-to-day project cost control activities. In this position, you will:

  1. Prepare and analyze project budget/WBS, forecasts (ETC/EAC) and commitments
  2. Prepare and analyze cashflow, earned value and risk calculations
  3. Prepare project reports
  4. Ability to manage both FFP and CPFF projects
  5. Setup GC and project budget independently.
  6. Develop Project file, budget and WBS code set-up with project manager and cost control manager for assigned projects.
  7. Perform financial/administrative reporting for assigned projects and/or programs in order to monitor costs.
  8. Conduct cost, schedule, contract performance, variance, and risk analysis and prepares reports as required.
  9. Participate in the development of cost controls, procedures, systems and forecasting techniques to evaluate contract/program status, ensuring compliance with government and customer requirements.
  10. Review contracts and purchase orders to understand unique contractual requirements.
  11. Process and track subcontractor payment requisitions. Ensure subcontractor lien waiver accuracy and completeness for assigned projects.
  12. Produce monthly project status and work in progress (WIP) reports.
  13. Attend and participate in all monthly review meetings for assigned projects
  14. Prepare and/or assist in preparation of monthly owner invoice.
  15. Prepare other specialized project reporting as needed.
  16. In addition to the accountabilities above, other responsibilities, tasks, and deliverables may be assigned to the incumbent of this position.
Requirements
  1. Must have excellent understanding of construction job cost analysis.
  2. Strong Excel skills with formulas/analysis (i.e. Vlookups, Pivot tables, etc.)
  3. Good understanding of FAR Cost Accounting Principles 31.201
  4. Work Experience: 8 years minimum.
  5. Education: BA in Construction Management, Business or Statistics required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for this requirement.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Advanced degree a plus.
  2. Deltek Costpoint experience a plus.
  3. Primavera knowledge/experience a plus.
  4. Knowledge of federal contract accounting principles a plus.
  5. Construction related experience preferred.
  6. AACEI (CCP/EVP)

ECC targeted salary range for this position is $90,000 CAD to $110,000 CAD.
Actual salary offered may be affected by education, training, certifications, experience, skills, level of responsibility, and location.
