Job summary

Worley is recruiting for an Intermediate Cost Analyst position based in Calgary, Alberta. This full-time role focuses on cost management, earned value, and forecasting within engineering projects, with emphasis on accurate budgeting, cost tracking, and change management across cross-functional teams.

Ideal candidates will have a university degree or diploma in engineering or business and PMI/PMP or AACE credentials. EcoSys proficiency is a plus.

Purpose:

We are currently recruiting for an Intermediate Cost Analyst. Our team includes world class experts and dynamic go-getters. This is a full-time position based in Calgary, Alberta.

Responsibilities:

• Development of monthly cost report and cost forecast.
• Set up and administration of monthly incurred cost flow.
• Setting of original budget and estimate recast.
• Ensure costs are tracked properly with appropriate use of WBS and CBS coding.
• Change management coordination.
• Administration and maintenance of Ecosys.
• Consolidation and development of month end cost and progress reporting.

What you will bring:

Technical and Industry Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in cost management, earned value, cash flows, invoice support, and performance measurement.
• Project Controls experience working on engineering projects.
• Proficiency in EcoSys® an asset.
• Working knowledge of Earned Value Measurement in engineering, procurement & construction.
• Cost engineering and estimating knowledge.
• Strong knowledge of, and the interrelationship of a good technical project scope definition, quality of the schedule and estimate, construction sequence and execution, procurement and contracting strategies, commissioning and start up.
• Capable of developing and maintaining control budget (TIC & Services), and forecast scopes of work.
• Full understanding of cross-functional interfaces with engineering, procurement.
• Capable of managing impact of change & trends, project KPI's.
• Understanding of financial interface for expenditures, revenue recognition, invoicing, cash flow / cash calls.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to influence and relationship building skills.
• Proven review skills, as well as presentation and facilitation skills.

Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:

Required:

• A university degree or diploma in engineering, business, or technical diploma.
• Certification by PMI (PMP) and/or AACE or similar accredited project management institute an asset.
