Job description

Join our dynamic team as a Cost Accountant, where you will play a key role in managing our material cost accounting procedures. We’re looking for a detail-oriented, motivated individual who thrives in a collaborative environment. In this position, you’ll focus on material cost accounting and provide valuable support across various accounting functions as needed. Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Calculate material costs and perform monthly valuations of finished goods and work-in-progress (WIP).
  2. Conduct quarterly overhead cost valuations for finished goods and WIP.
  3. Prepare monthly royalty valuations and generate quarterly reports.
  4. Update material costs and blank sizes every month.
  5. Perform material cost, sales, and royalty calculations for long-term planning.
  6. Execute cycle counting and assist in physical inventory processes.
  7. Valuate physical inventories and ensure compliance with internal standards.
  8. Maintain awareness of and accept responsibility for internal controls and compliance with JSOX.

Other Responsibilities:

  1. Investigate and provide details of account transactions.
  2. Run queries as needed to support financial analysis.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  2. Experience as a Cost Accountant or in a similar role is a plus.
  3. Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and practices.
  4. Proficiency in MS Excel and other accounting software; experience with Plex is a plus.
  5. Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
  6. Ability to excel in a team environment.
  7. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
