Corrpro Canada is Canada's largest corrosion engineering, cathodic protection, and corrosion monitoring business dedicated to protecting and preserving infrastructure. We provide professional corrosion consulting and cathodic protection engineering services to major oil companies, government agencies, municipal water, sewer, and gas utilities, universities, and public transportation agencies. Corrpro Canada offers complete construction installation services, including crews and equipment to install any cathodic protection system for any structure.

WHAT YOU’RE RESPONSIBLE FOR :

  1. Plan and perform duties involved with testing, evaluation, and installation of cathodic protection systems to inhibit corrosion on various structures.
  2. Work with specific objectives and instructions from senior staff on customer drawings and specifications.
  3. Conduct various test procedures to gather data for evaluation purposes.
  4. Gather structure-to-soil potential data, soil measurements, and rectifier data.
  5. Sketch rectifiers, anodes, test stations, and other design features on prepared drawings.
  6. Assist senior staff in preparing survey reports and final job reports.
  7. Sketch physical features of the installation site for subsequent detail.
  8. Organize and analyze data gathered, prepare charts and tables.
  9. Assemble data for final client reports, including service recommendations.
  10. Diagnose and recommend remedies for system difficulties observed during resurvey operations.
  11. Recommend modifications as needed.
  12. Apply basic skills learned as a Corrosion Tech I with increasing independence.
  13. Maintain field test equipment, ensure good operating condition, and perform minor repairs.

QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Technical Engineering Diploma, Apprentice / Journeyman Electrician preferred.
  • NACE CP Tester or Technician certification.
  • Minimum of 3 years of Cathodic Protection corrosion experience, ideally on oil and gas lines or assets.
  • Rectifier training is considered an asset.
  • Proficiency with computer software tools (Microsoft Word and Excel).
  • Able to travel and work overtime as needed.
  • Able to lift 50 pounds / 22 kg.
  • Experience operating quads and snowmobiles.
  • Required safety training includes H2S Alive, Standard First Aid, Defensive Driving, WHMIS, TDG.
