BC Public Service is hiring a Correctional Officer in the Adult Custody Division. You will help maintain safety in a correctional centre, rotating through posts and collaborating with supervisors and professionals to support rehabilitation efforts.

The role requires evenings/weekends/holidays and on-site work at various BC locations. Training is provided with pathways to career development within the Public Service.

Qualifications

• Minimum age of 19 years or older.
• Grade 12 or equivalent and Grade 12 English with 70% or equivalent.
• Valid BC driver’s license (Class 5) or equivalent from another province.
• Canadian Citizenship or minimum 3 years of permanent resident status in Canada.

Responsabilités

• Maintain security and safety of individuals in custody through pro-social modelling and program delivery.
• Rotate through designated posts and work with a team of professionals across departments.
• Support efforts to reduce recidivism and create positive change.

Formation

Grade 12 or equivalent

Grade 12 English with 70%

Valid BC Driver's license (Class 5)

Canadian Citizenship or 3 years PR
