Sodexo is seeking a Cook Supervisor to oversee daily operations of the food service program at a correctional facility and to supervise kitchen staff and inmate workers. You will ensure meals meet approved menus, nutritional standards, and production schedules while maintaining safety and security in a challenging environment.

The role requires formal culinary training and 3–5 years of food service experience, including supervisory responsibilities.

Qualificações

• Minimum 3 to 5 years of progressively responsible experience in food service operations.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience in institutional, healthcare, correctional, military, or large-volume food service environments is an asset.
• A team-first attitude and strong communication skills.
• Physical ability to meet job demands (e.g., lifting, standing for long periods).
• Commitment to safety, respect, and inclusion.

Responsabilidades

• Supervise daily food service operations, ensuring meals follow approved menus, nutrition standards, and schedules.
• Lead, train, and oversee staff and inmate workers, assigning duties and monitoring performance.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation and temperature regulations.
• Maintain security and accountability of kitchen tools, equipment, and chemicals.
• Manage inventory and assist with ordering, receiving, and storage of food and supplies.
• Conduct regular inspections of kitchen facilities and equipment for safety and readiness.
• Maintain records related to meal production, inventory, temperatures, and sanitation.
• Promote a safe, respectful workplace and address hazards promptly.
• Support emergency response and continuous improvement initiatives in the correctional environment.
