Position : Corporate Treasury Accountant

Your area of focus

This accounting position provides support to the Treasury department across multiple areas, including acting as the primary contact for employee inquiries regarding administrative changes, cheque inquiries, and treasury and banking activities; managing the monthly accounting close process for a corporate entity, including reconciliations, analysis, and journal entries; preparing covenant compliance packages; and supporting other duties and projects as required.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain data for banking, point of sale, and credit card systems, including user change management and bank account setup documentation.
  • Serve as the primary contact for internal employee inquiries related to treasury and banking.
  • Prepare account transfers, wire transfers, letters of credit, and loan drawdown requests.
  • Prepare monthly and ad hoc journal entries and reconciliations for the month-end close.
  • Perform analysis of balance sheet and income statement accounts, and prepare related journal entries and working papers.
  • Compile monthly and quarterly compliance packages.
  • Provide backup support for treasury activities as needed.

Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills.
  • Effective independent and team work with a positive customer service attitude.
  • Excellent English communication skills, oral and written.
  • Experience in treasury functions is an asset.
  • Knowledge of IFRS and month-end close processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Oracle ERP is an asset.
  • University degree in Accounting, Business, or Commerce; CPA or equivalent designation is an asset.
