We are currently recruiting for the following role in our Vancouver office:

Essential Functions:

  • Assist with annual maintenance of British Columbia and Federal companies and annual reports for extra provincial registrations.
  • Conduct name reservations and reservation renewals for British Columbia and Federal.
  • Assist with overflow for due diligence with conducting and coordinating corporate and due diligence searches in British Columbia, including corporate existence, Personal Property Registry, Bank Act, Insolvency, Companies' Creditors Arrangement Act, Litigation, Bailiff, WorkSafeBC, BC Human Rights Commission Records, Provincial Employment Standards Branch, BC Securities Commission, Copyright Database, Trademark Database, Patent Database.
  • Utilize E-core / Agents services relating to due diligence matters.
  • Preparation and filing financing statements, amendments and discharges under the PPSA in British Columbia.
  • Responsible for sorting returned annual reports and filing same with BC Registry and corporations Canada.
  • Assist with letters and emails sending physical and virtual minutes books out.
  • Assist with overflow of general updates and maintenance of physical and scanned minute books.

Qualifications:

  • Post-Secondary education in legal administration or equivalent and an interest in pursuing a career in Corporate Services;
  • Ideally at least 2 years' experience as an administrative assistant, junior legal assistant or corporate services clerk;
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency with MS Office;
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills; self-motivated with the ability to multi-task;
  • Impeccable proofreading, grammar skills and attention to detail;
  • Service oriented, adaptable, reliable and dependable;
  • Professional work ethic and great attitude;
  • Exceptional ability to work independently with minimal supervision or within a team environment;
  • Excellent verbal, written communication and technical skills.

Compensation:

The salary range for this position is $60,000 to $67,000 annually and may vary depending on skills and experience.
