CORPORATE SENIOR TAX MANAGER (Switzerland)

You will need to meet Swiss legal working requirements (including EU citizens with resident status or current work visa). Applications from candidates requiring sponsorship to work in Switzerland can be considered in exceptional circumstances.
Exceptional candidates who have more extensive experience might be considered for a role as an Associate Director.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a portfolio of clients of varying complexity, including European Private Equity, Venture Capital, and Real Estate funds, US corporations, or foreign corporations with a US presence or a US owner, ensuring client service is maintained at a high level
- Effectively and efficiently scheduling and managing professionals on engagements and in the office
- Assisting Directors with firm strategic initiatives, proposals, and ad hoc assignments
- Identifying opportunities for cross-selling and consulting/advisory projects
- Establishing and fostering relationships in the marketplace with companies (non-clients) in the tax field through networking, community activity and professional activities; Demonstrated ability to speak at outside conferences/forums and professional organizations
- Continuously demonstrates technical expertise and has the ability to articulate current tax positions with a proactive approach to sharing technical knowledge with others
- Closely working with junior staff members to support and guide them in their professional growth, both technically and personally
- Promoting and projecting a positive image of the firm, internally and externally, while adhering to the firm’s core values
Requirements
- 8-15 years corporate tax experience with a focus on partnership work – preferably including US corporate tax experience, especially including a foreign element (CFCs, PFICs)
- Strong technical knowledge gained with a Big 4 or boutique firm serving international clients
- US CPA preferred, but not essential
- Well organized and works well under pressure to ensure key deadlines and targets are met.
- Solid interpersonal and communications skills and the ability to build working relationships with both clients and colleagues.
- Proficient in Excel and a major tax preparation software (CHH Axcess/ GoSystem preferred).
- An experienced leader, who envisions new opportunities and provides leadership with suggestions for positive change.
- Fluent written and spoken English; other languages will be a plus.
- Able to meet legal requirements regarding work visa (we can assist with the process if relocating from US, elsewhere in Europe)
