Our Health Industry Group is seeking an energetic, team-oriented, and entrepreneurial Corporate / Regulatory Associate to join the team in our Toronto office.

Our corporate / commercial health practice offers general counsel, health regulatory and governance advice to healthcare organizations, associations and professionals. We advise clients on Board governance matters, corporate structuring, procurement of goods and services, collaborations and shared services, mergers and program transfers, development of healthcare facilities and health hubs, health technology and digital innovation, intellectual property and other commercial matters. We provide strategic advice and regulatory opinions on a wide variety of issues.

The successful candidate will have :

  • 3+ years of relevant corporate / commercial law experience
  • Experience with contract drafting, negotiation and interpretation and public sector procurement rules and processes
  • Experience with governance documents and processes for non-profit corporations
  • Exposure to a broad range of statues applicable to health care administration including the Not-for-Profit Corporations Act, Connecting Care Act, Personal Heath Information Protection Act, Broader Public Sector Accountability Act, facility specific statutes and legal frameworks
  • Knowledge about health industry and stakeholders and experience advising health industry clients on strategic, operational and legal risk issues is an asset
  • Excellent academic credentials
  • A license to practice in Ontario
  • Strong analytical, communication, drafting and client management skills
  • An entrepreneurial attitude and collaboration mindset
