A leading company in Vancouver seeks a Legal Administrative Assistant to manage corporate maintenance and legal documentation. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and experience with corporate law processes. This role offers a dynamic environment where you can utilize your initiative and problem-solving abilities while supporting a busy legal team.
Preparation of annual reports and annual consent resolutions for B.C. and Federal corporations, societies and maintenance of extra-provincial registrations across Canada
Maintaining the Annual Maintenance Bring Forward system
Incorporation and organization of B.C. corporations and extra-provincial registrations
Preparing corporate legal documents, such as changes in directors, officers and registered office address
Handling general updates to minute books
Processing share transfers, transmissions, dividends and redemptions
Updating ALF database
Other administrative support as required
What you must have :
Experience handling annual corporate maintenance
Completion of an accredited Legal Administrative Assistant or Paralegal program
Working knowledge of ALF and BC Online
Excellent spelling, grammar and proofreading skills
Advanced computer skills with Word, Excel and Outlook
Keyboarding at a minimum of 60 wpm
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to listen effectively and respond appropriately
Excellent organizational skills with a strong attention to detail to produce high quality and accurate work
Ability to work effectively both independently and as a contributing member in a team environment
Solid decision-making and problem-solving skills coupled with a willingness to learn and to adapt to changing demands
A high level of initiative and resourcefulness
Ability to prioritize tasks by deadline, work calmly under pressure and manage high volume of work in a fast-paced environment
