Job summary

Mercor is partnering with a leading legal AI company to conduct a blinded human-preference study. We seek experienced corporate, capital markets and venture lawyers to serve as expert reviewers, reading a realistic legal matter, reviewing six AI-generated work products, and recording which they prefer with written reasoning.

As an expert reviewer, you will evaluate documents, provide five direct head-to-head comparisons, and supply clear, concise rationales for each choice within a confidential

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer with substantive practice experience in corporate, capital markets or venture law.
• Excellent written English with precise, concise phrasing.
• Ability to work independently to written instructions and deadlines.

• Make five head-to-head comparisons against a common comparator output.

What you'll do

• Review six blinded AI deliverables (labelled A–F) for that matter
• Make five head-to-head comparisons against a common comparator output
• Write a short, specific rationale for every preference

Practice scope

Acqui-hire merger review, seller disclosure schedules, Rule 144A/Reg S closing opinions, and Series B venture financing opinions.

Requirements

• Qualified lawyer with substantive practice experience in the areas above
• Able to judge work product holistically — correctness, completeness, judgment, usefulness
• Precise written English
• Able to work independently to written instructions and a deadline

Logistics

• Commitment: ~24 hours across the engagement
• Confidentiality: all work is covered by NDA. External AI tools must not be used on any project material.
