The Role:
We are looking to recruit a corporate lawyer (3-5 years PQE) to join our client's growing corporate team in Ireland.
You will be advising a wonderful and diverse client base on a wide range of transactional and advisory matters in some of the most interesting, innovative and disruptive industries. You will provide specialist legal support to companies throughout the entire transaction cycle, from strategic planning and structuring, deal implementation through to post-merger integration, with a focus on those organisations involved in or being changed by technology and the digital world.
You will contribute to the one firm culture of the firm and be part of a group of over 300 corporate lawyers collaborating seamlessly across borders with their colleagues around the world.
You should demonstrate a real interest in M&A transactions and a desire to manage a workload in this area.
You will have the opportunity to work on business development activities in a direct and meaningful way, by developing both domestic and international client relationships, and by collaborating with your colleagues throughout our client's global network of offices, through in-person meetings, conferences and potential short-term secondments.
This role is a unique opportunity to join an ambitious team and to play an instrumental role in shaping the growth and development of both the corporate team and the wider Irish office.
Demonstrate an understanding of and have experience in many of the following key areas
- mergers and acquisitions
- share / asset purchase agreements
- Joint venture / shareholder arrangement
- group reorganisations
- due diligence and disclosure processes
- corporate governance and Irish company law matters
Work directly with the corporate partner and associates in the Dublin office and lawyers across the client's global network of offices, to provide specialist and strategic legal support on a variety of corporate matters, with a focus on technology companies involved in innovative and cutting-edge industries.
- Play a hands-on role in business development activity by identifying and cultivating new business opportunities and promoting the firm's corporate practice.
- Build strong and lasting client relationships as a trusted legal advisor.
- Collaborate with fee earners in Ireland and throughout our global network on multi-disciplinary and cross-border projects.
- Lead on knowledge management initiatives within the group including delivering training sessions, contributing to articles and updates for publication and developing specialist know-how materials.
- Candidates should have experience of drafting the transaction documents typically required for Irish M&A deals and an ability to assist with managing large transactions.
- Candidates should be able to demonstrate an interest in the Irish corporate landscape, the flexibility to work across various sectors, a willingness to upskill and a desire to build their own profile and network.
