Job summary

FortisBC is seeking an events specialist to plan, coordinate, execute, and evaluate corporate events that support marketing strategy and FortisBC branding. You will collaborate with internal teams and external partners to develop event requirements, communications plans, and budgets.

You will also help train staff to represent FortisBC at community events, trade shows, and festivals, and ensure messages align with campaigns while distributing promotional materials.

Qualifications

  • Diploma in public relations, marketing or related discipline.
  • Minimum of three years of recent experience planning, coordinating and executing corporate events.
  • Ability to work with internal/external stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead planning, coordinating, and executing corporate events with stakeholders, manage budgets and align with branding.
  • Support staff development to effectively represent FortisBC at community events, trade shows, and festivals.
  • Ensure key messages are delivered for campaigns and distribute promotional materials while meeting brand standards.
  • Travel across British Columbia to oversee events and address scheduling and staffing issues, ensuring safety and environmental stewardship.
