Job summary

Semios Group is seeking a Corporate Development Associate to join our Vancouver team and support investment opportunities, due diligence, and strategic planning. You will build complex financial models, evaluate acquisitions and partnerships, and work with senior leadership on market analyses and capital markets initiatives.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in investment banking, corporate development, private equity, or equivalent finance roles.
• Deep understanding of financial statements and ability to build detailed three-statement models and cash flow forecasts.
• Advanced Excel/Sheets proficiency with complex models and large datasets; AI skills are a plus.
• Clear and concise communicator with ability to distill analysis into actionable insights.
• Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills with a data-driven mindset.

Responsibilities

• Provide financial evaluations of investment and partnership opportunities, including review of project materials and financing agreements.
• Conduct ad hoc and strategic analyses to support market, competitive, operational, and profitability assessments.
• Build detailed financial models, projections, and sensitivity analyses for transactions and strategic initiatives.
• Develop cash flow and three-statement models to assess targets and returns.
• Deliver insights to inform strategy, pricing, and investment decisions.
• Support due diligence and negotiations, including workflow coordination and forecast impact assessments.
• Create memos synthesizing market context and deal strategy for leadership and investors.
• Contribute to long-term capital structure planning and scenario modeling.
• Develop and apply economic/statistical models to inform product-level decisions.
