Mercor is hiring Corporate Designers for Project Style, a project that evaluates AI-generated knowledge-work deliverables (decks, docs, spreadsheets, PDFs) and reworks the strongest one to be genuinely well-made in content and design.

Your work shapes how AI models produce polished, publish-ready knowledge work used by clients such as consulting firms, investment banks, or in-house design teams. This role emphasizes layout, typography, colour, and overall polish.

Qualifications

• Background as a designer or marketing/comms professional.
• Ability to spot subtle layout inconsistencies in business materials.
• Strong written articulation of design rationale and feedback.

• Take the strongest candidate and rework it to reference quality.
• Provide clear justifications tied to specific layout evidence (alignment, spacing, balance, grouping, density).

About the role

Mercor is hiring Corporate Designers for Project Style — an aesthetics project in which experts review sets of AI-generated knowledge-work deliverables (decks, docs, spreadsheets, PDFs) and rework the strongest one until it's genuinely well-made, on both content and design.

Your work directly shapes how AI models produce polished, publish-ready knowledge work — the kind of output a consulting firm, investment bank, or in-house design team would send to a client without embarrassment.

What you'll do

• Compare AI-generated versions of the same deliverable and score them across layout & spacing, typography, colour, domain realism, and polish
• Take the strongest candidate and rework it to reference quality
• Provide clear justifications tied to specific layout evidence (alignment, spacing, balance, grouping, density)
• Bring your design judgment to real corporate client materials

You're a good fit if you

• Have a background as a designer, marketing/comms professional, or knowledge-work specialist — management consulting, investment banking, in-house corporate design, agency work, and marcom all fit
• Spot subtle layout inconsistencies most people miss: alignment gaps, unequal card heights, dead space, margin discipline
• Are opinionated about what "good" looks like in a business deliverable and can articulate it in writing
• Care about how work is presented, not just what it says

Rate and commitment

• $80/hour, hourly
• Approximately 15 hours per week
• Fully remote

• The assessment measures how well your ratings of real deliverables track against a calibrated answer key on the layout & spacing axis
