Cision is seeking a full-time attorney to join its Legal team. The ideal candidate will be an attorney with strong transactional experience, comfortable working closely with Sales staff, Marketing, Finance, Security, Product and other business groups within Cision on commercial contract matters.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Drafting and negotiating commercial contracts for various business units including NDAs, MSAs, technology agreements, partnership agreements and vendor contracts
  2. Providing legal support on transactional, corporate governance and compliance activities
  3. Providing support and day-to-day legal advice to Cision’s various business units including IT, and international entities
  4. Advising on various other commercial initiatives within Cision which may include compliance activities and policies
  5. Review key RFPs and proposal responses for legal compliance
  6. Coordinate training and awareness activities for Sales related to business issues and standard counterarguments
  7. Researching and analyzing various legal issues
  8. Perform other duties as required
Minimum Required Qualifications
  1. JD degree from an ABA accredited institution and active Bar membership
  2. 5+ years of experience (with at least 3 years of relevant commercial contracting experience)
  3. Familiarity with legal / licensing concepts such as intellectual property, limitations of liability, indemnification, etc.
  4. Familiarity with technology or software-as-a-service (SaaS) licensing a plus
  5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  6. Computer skills, especially Microsoft Office, Zendesk and Salesforce a plus
