Qualifications

Job description

Our client in the Technology industry has an exciting opportunity to be a member of the group senior leadership team as the Controller. The person will work closely with the VP, Finance and other senior team members in providing financial support and analysis.

Location : Montreal (Hybrid)

Salary : 100K-130K

Duration : 12 months + possibility of permanence

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Finance Senior Director, the Corporate Controller is a key member of the Finance leadership team, overseeing all aspects of financial accounting and external reporting.

What you will do :

  • Plan, direct, and coordinate all general accounting activities and ensure the consolidation of all financial data necessary for delivering consolidated business results.
  • Lead a timely and accurate financial close, ensuring internal controls and IFRS standards are applied.
  • Deliver quarterly and annual financial statements, MD&A, and other public company filings.
  • Support the Board of Directors and governance activities.
  • Own the processes related to compliance with 52-109 and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
  • Recommend and oversee process improvements and new system implementations.
  • Coach, develop, and inspire a global team of finance professionals.
  • Perform all other related tasks.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting; CPA designation is an asset.
  • Experience with public company reporting and IFRS standards is an asset.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify trends and insights from financial data.
  • Exceptional communication skills in French and English, with strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure, and changing environment.
