What you’ll be responsible for:
– Financial Reporting & Analysis – Oversee month-end close, review financial statements, and ensure accuracy across multiple entities
– Operational & Strategic Finance – Work closely with operations, banking partners, and vendors on purchasing negotiations, cash flow management, and financial planning
– Team Leadership – Manage a team of seven, including designated professionals and junior accountants pursuing their CPA
– Process Improvement & Systems – Identify opportunities to enhance reporting, financial modeling, and business insights.
What You Need to Succeed:
– Chartered Accountant/CPA designation, qualified at a major public accounting firm with 6+ years of progressive experience, interest from more experienced candidates is encouraged
– Minimum 2 years of managerial experience leading an accounting team
– Strong financial reporting and month-end close experience
– Advanced Excel skills; experience with NetSuite or Sage 300 is an asset
– A passion for both financial leadership and operational involvement.
