Job summary

Logic Executive Search & Workplace Solutions is seeking a Corporate Controller in Windsor, Ontario. The successful candidate will oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, and provide financial insight to support strategic decisions while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Reporting to the CFO, you will manage the accounting team, enhance internal controls, and partner with Sales and other departments to deliver accurate financial data for senior management

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA designation is required.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with month-end/ year-end close processes.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day accounting operations and drive team performance.
• Oversee internal controls, processes, and timely financial reporting.
• Manage accounts payable, cash disbursements, invoicing, payroll, fixed assets and cost accounting.
• Prepare monthly financials, management reports, and reporting for CFO and head office.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning.
• Safeguard assets with robust controls and policies.
• Develop and improve accounting policies across related functions.
• Analyze financial results and variances to provide recommendations.
• Coordinate government, corporate, and audit reporting with internal auditors.

The Opportunity:

Our client is looking to add a Corporate Controller to their team in Windsor, Ontario. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Corporate Controller will oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, while providing financial insights to support strategic decision-making and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

You'll Be Responsible For:

• Leading the day-to-day operations of the Accounting Team while supporting team performance and development.
• Overseeing internal controls, financial processes, and key performance metrics to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Managing core accounting functions, including accounts payable, cash disbursements, invoicing and billing, payroll, fixed assets, general accounting, and cost accounting.
• Preparing monthly financial information, management reports, and other financial reporting for the CFO, Senior Management, and Corporate Head Office.
• Supporting bi-weekly forecasting and monthly and annual budgeting processes, ensuring financial plans align with organizational goals.
• Safeguarding company assets and maintaining accurate financial records through effective controls, policies, and procedures.
• Developing and improving accounting policies and procedures across purchasing, payables, billing, collections, payroll, and related functions.
• Analyzing financial results, variances, operational issues, capital expenditures, product costing, and special projects to provide meaningful recommendations to management.
• Managing government, corporate, and audit reporting requirements while working closely with internal auditors and Corporate Head Office.
• Partnering with internal departments, including Sales, to provide financial insight and support business needs.
• Representing and promoting the company and its services professionally.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Post-secondary degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA designation is required.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including general ledger functions and month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with SharePoint and Sage 300 is considered an asset.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to guide, support, and develop team members.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with a collaborative and adaptable approach.
• Ability to work effectively with colleagues and clients across diverse teams and backgrounds.
