Corporate Controller

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the development, implementation, and achievement of finance goals and objectives, ensuring alignment with the overall business strategy.
  • Support cross-functional and departmental initiative planning and implementation.
  • Provide effective financial reporting to promote a culture of financial accountability.
  • Design, implement, and monitor financial systems and processes—purchase to pay, revenue to cash, customer promotions, and month-end close—to ensure accurate and timely recording of transactions in accordance with IFRS standards.
  • Seek continuous improvements in efficiency and effectiveness of processes, procedures, and systems.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS, or other relevant standards.
  • Manage treasury functions including working capital, cash management, foreign exchange exposure, and bank credit facilities.
  • Oversee the annual audit process and financial statement preparation.
  • Support the development of financial and operational budgets, forecasts, and plans.
  • Develop and report business and financial scorecards for performance monitoring and decision-making support.
  • Identify and implement financial system and process improvements to enhance resource efficiency.
  • Prepare special reports and analyses, providing actionable recommendations.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, including setting departmental strategy.
Qualifications:
  • Post-secondary education in accounting or related field.
  • CA designation required.
  • 5+ years of accounting and/or management experience, preferably in a consumer packaged goods environment.
  • Experience with large ERP systems required.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and capable of managing change in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite.
