Position Summary

Nanalysis is a manufacturer and global supplier of high tech instrumentation and maintenance services.

Nanalysis is seeking a detail-oriented Corporate Controller. The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation and distribution of various internal and external financial statements to management, maintenance of the organization’s general ledger, and ensuring all transactions and documentation comply with IFRS. The Corporate Controller will report to the CFO and support the broader Nanalysis team. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.

Primary Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Lead the finance and accounting team of six, providing guidance, training, and oversight
  • Manage daily financial operations including cash flow, general ledger, banking, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and government reporting
  • Collaborate with the Director of Financial Reporting on:
  • Monthly financial reporting, commentary, and variance analysis
  • Quarterly and annual IFRS-compliant financial statements
  • External audits and reviews
  • Oversee treasury and cash management
  • Coordinate with marketing and operations on financial performance and credit approvals
  • Calculate and report covenants to the bank
  • Identify and implement process and system efficiencies with IT and accounting staff
  • Develop and monitor internal controls
  • Supervise payroll and tax matters, including indirect taxes and workers' compensation
  • Perform ad hoc duties as required

Background and Experience Sought:

  • CPA designation required
  • 10+ years in progressively senior accounting/finance roles
  • Strong IFRS/public company reporting knowledge
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word
  • Experience in cost accounting and manufacturing
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Ability to work independently, communicate effectively, prioritize tasks
  • French language skills are an asset
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central and ERP implementations are assets
  • Motivational leadership within tight deadlines, professional attitude
