Job description

Job Title: Communications Specialist (Corporate)

Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid)

Duration: 12+ months (possible extension)

About the Role:

Reporting to the SVP, this role supports Enterprise Services and Public Affairs (ESPA) through planning, coordination, and execution of communication initiatives. Ideal for a detail-oriented, self-starter with experience engaging across organizational levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Event Management: Plan logistics for internal/external events including town halls, senior leader visits, and client engagements.
  • Media Monitoring: Track Canada media coverage, assist with interviews, and handle media inquiries.
  • Volunteer Programs: Manage volunteer opportunities and attend events.
  • Golf Tournament: Steering committee member for the annual charity golf event.

Internal Comms:

  • Create bi-weekly Canada Connects newsletter.
  • Update Canada Hub (SharePoint).
  • Draft internal emails and TV content.
  • Support inclusion network communications.

Other Duties:

  • Photo inventory and shoots.
  • MCA testing for ESPA.
  • Promotional item and charitable contribution management.
  • Risk Management: Ensure compliance and escalate/report control issues as required.

  • Proficient in MS Office Suite & Quick learner of digital tools.
